Hair: His raven black hair flowed wildly down his back, ending just above his waistline. A few loose bangs hung over his eyes and hair from the sides gently curved down over his shoulders like an elegant painting of a black waterfall…
Eyes: As I walked closer, his amber eyes seemed almost to glow at me from the darkness…beckoning me…crying to me…searching me.

Origin: Avery was born on January 12th 1576 on American Soils. He was birthed by a human woman named Catherine Elyse who was married an elvish lord by the name Veryan Schriver. Veryan was the leader of an elvish clan in the Kentucky area in the time period.  

Language(s): Avery’s Language has evolved with the English culture and he now speaks 21st century English. On occasion he may use Older English or his clans form of elvish. His elvish language and beliefs often represent themselves in his tattoos and tattoo flash (His portfolio book of tattoos).

Blood Type: Avery’s blood is silver, but due to his half breed blood when the skin is broken it is silver, and then as the blood ages it changed into red. When open wounds leave scars they appear as a pink/red color.

Height: Avery reaches approximately 6’2’’

Weight/Body Structure/Physical Faults: Avery weighs about 170lbs. His body is almost a porcelain peach color. He has a very lithe and agile build. Most of his body is covered with scars from the many tattoos he has had on his body in the past. Currently he has only one tattoo that runs down his upper arm and is the symbols for the Human Ring of Seven which all of his clan must wear and cannot be removed. Eventually more tattoos are added in the story.
He also has Snake Bites on his lower lip. (Piercing’s)

Race/Species: Avery is a Half Human/ Half Elf. He is from the Riftwater clan. Half blooded creatures like him have powers like pure bloods but it is sealed inside them. Avery was the first to find a way to release his powers. However, there are many other ways. In the Riftwater clan there are 8 council leaders, each represent one of the Seven Human symbols. They each have the ability to ‘see’ them all, but their strongest is the one they are associated with.
Avery is associated with the symbol of Human Desire.

Friends/Allies: At the beginning of the story Avery’s only close relations are Mikael and Ahaej. Later he becomes allies and friends with 5 of the council members, and Jade Cariss
He is also friends with the humans, Dozer, Ricky and Jessica, who work for him at his Tattoo Parlor.

Enemies: Jesiliah Wyvern (Symbol of Interest)  , and Caryn Celeste at the beginning, eventually friends (Symbol of Age)

Beliefs/Religion: Avery’s beliefs at the beginning of the story rest in nothing but his Heritage and His father’s spirit. However, since his father dies he has refused contact with many of the Council and Elves. Without his father around, he is no longer the highest regarded, and no longer the rightful heir because his father died before being able to bequeath the leadership to him. Currently, Caryn Celeste is the leader. Later his belief rests in both his human and elvish lineage, but mostly in Jade.

Career/Past Careers: Avery’s mother died when he was young and thus he and his father stayed with the elves in their ‘separate world within the world’ called Nostala. When his father dies a hundred years later, he left to be away from the harshness of the people. Soon finding out that the same treatment lied with the humans if they found out his secret, he kept to himself becoming almost recluse, and using his ‘Sight’ to help him determine if he liked a person. Avery then opened Avery’s Nostala, a tattoo parlor.


Dreams/Life Goals: Enter with Avery at the beginning and he is just there. No life goals, no plans. Just to get through is daunting eternal years. Hoping it will end, or something will happen, something will change. And then Jade shows up. His goal is, to get rid of her. He can’t read her Desire. He doesn’t trust her, but then that changes to. Something is about to destroy is day to day living…and possibly jade. Avery will have to take up his magic and take his place where he should have been all along…while at the same time…trying to understand the burning sensation he gets when attempting to read Jade’s Desire.

Hobbies: In Avery’s free time he enjoys sketching and creating tattoo flash, people watching, sleeping, and visiting Mikael. Most of the time Avery stays in the shop to hang around his artist’s even though he rarely does any tattoos for people. (His tattoos are special, their not ‘normal’ *hint*) He also rarely gets customers that come to him over his other artists because of his looks and the fact that he has scars all over his body from removed tattoos.

Likes: Avery likes Celtic items, occasionally he will read a book if it finds his fancy. He doesn’t know it at first but he likes Jade. Has a thing for Nature. Loves Historic things (reminds him of what once was. To him, at the beginning, everything was better before now.)

Loves: Loves tattoos. Loves being with Jade. Loves being at his tattoo parlor. Loves exotic foods. Grapefruit D= He also loves the rain and museums. :3 Anime.

Dislikes:  Apples D= Raisins, Fast Food, non primary or secondary colors, Modern Art(the line, dot, and paint splatter simple stuff as he says)

Loathes: Jesiliah, Caryn, Dark hearts, the present, the future, eternity. His inability to read Jade’s Desire.

Fears: Avery is pretty much numb to everything until the story begins and he finds himself in fear of loosing Jade. He also developed a fear of old women but let’s not jump ahead in the story too far lol.

Strengths: Avery’s strengths lie in his Stubbornness, wit, ability to discern quickly, and strength of her. His magic is also more powerful then most as he is the Forgotten Prince.

Weakness: Avery’s strength in Stubbornness is more often his weakness. He is also very secluded within himself and rarely lets people in his hear.
Impatience is a strong weakness in his mind and trust is one of his largest faults, Jade often must keep his head straight. He is also hot headed and overprotective when it comes to Jade and the people he does care truly for.

Good Qualities: Once Avery opens up his heart to someone it is a very strong bond. Very protective, kind, and gentle. He is the surmise of the fantasy dream guy. He will often revert back to his recluse shell in certain situations in which he is uncomfortable or unused to. His voice is deep and sweet with an air of mystery and he would do anything for those at his side.

Bad Habits: ‘Inner Voice’ Hardly ever expresses what he feels or his ‘evil thoughts’ Answers things he doesn’t want to answer in simple-swing both way-replies, if he answers at all. He can easily piss someone off. Another bad habit is jumping into things. No strategy. He also has almost no human mannerisms and can be a complete butt hole without realizing it.

Turn On’s: Avery seems to be attracted to mysteriously lighthearted people. Those who are trusting and happy all the time make him feel a little happier himself. With Jade this is the same, but what turns him on are her subtle ways of trying to impress him, to comfort him and hold him. Her smile, her laughter. He sometimes catches himself acting stupid just to see or hear her joy. Her grin, to him, is to die for. What gets him most? Her lighthearted mischievousness, it has the power to make him succumb to her..

Turn Offs: Jealousy, Jade’s Depression, Hatefulness, His Scars disgust him.  Disgust in himself for being not enough for Jade. Jade’s over trusting personality (he fears she will trust the wrong person.)

Powers/Abilities/Talents: As a half breed Avery is unable to use his full blow elvish powers of magic. Thus he had to find a way to release his power; he was the first to do this. His way to through what he loves to do-Draw and tattoo. When a tattoo is applied to his skin-by himself, he can manifest power through it related to the tattoo. (ex. A spell tattooed on his arm will activate when he released his power through it. A picture of a Dragon can become a dragon when he releases power. The more powerful the spell the more power is sucked out of Avery.)

He is also able to read the “Human Ring of Seven” as described earlier. It can only be read once a day. (ex. If he tried to read Jade’s Desire and then later tried to read an enemy’s Ring of Seven, he could not.) This ability works on any being with any size portion of human in them, from very slight to full blooded human.

Temperament: Short temper, close minded, he is a recluse at the beginning with few friends and hates most people/elves/creatures. Hardheaded, mischievous, and stubborn.

When he likes you; Kindhearted, protective, loving, sweet, funny, positive-for the person, not himself. Mysterious, Mischievous.

Background: Avery was born and raised in 1576 by Catherine Elyse, a human and Veryan Schriver, an Elven Lord. When his mother died at the age of 98 he moved with his father permanently to Nostala where the Elven clan Riftwater resides. During this time was when Avery began to miss the human world where he was a beginning tattooist at a small parlor. He spent the next hundred years perfecting his ability in hopes to one day get to do it again. Veryan was killed unexpectedly one day when an unknown creature clan destroyed most the village. Avery had searched everywhere for his father only to find him dead, and soaked in blood within the palace gates.

Immediately, Avery was ignored. Caryn Celeste took ‘emergency charge’ as they had called it and Avery knew then his future was changed. He was forgotten, pushed away, and hardly spoken too by the commoners. He never even attempted to return to the palace, staying with Mikael, his uncle was the source in which he found out that Jesiliah Wyvern had no intentions of letting him rule. Mikael and Avery left for the human world. Mikael would return on occasion and then come back to avery with news but eventually, as Avery made his way as a tattoo artist, Mikael grew Ill and moved back into the elvish world for the natural magic of healing in the airs.

Avery opened a tattoo parlor, called Avery’s Nostala. He wished Nostala was his…even if the people resented him; he wanted to show them otherwise. After another hundred or so years, he ceased trying to think up ways to return and immigrated himself completely into his part of the human world. The two snake bite piercing on his lips symbolize what has happened to him. Avery’s mind constantly ran over what was and was should have been and he was living in his own personal hell on earth…Until Jade walked through those glass doors.
