Sad Truth
Remember that world you read in your books
The memories formed from their pages
They took you to a place so far away
Got you away from your hesitations
You would live and breathe
Cry and grieve
For those characters you loved with your heart
Remember when you read that line
You thought about for a week longs time
It made you think about where you are
Why you're here
And why you're who you are
Remember when you struggled with just that
You were young and lost in the depths
It just took one thing to make you feel
'I like you' means its okay to be real
Remember when you picked up that pen
And created those worlds you felt good within
Gave them stories to take you away
And showed them to others,
At your dismay
Not everyone see's like you
It's a sad,
Sad truth
With words you can write what you feel,
Let it all out,
Hold you still
But that's not what they seen in you
Your work must not be good enough to express
Everything you could say at your best
Remember that world you read in your books
You can find it here if you just look
It takes a little help
A friendly touch,
To reach a compliment
You need so much
Remember there are others just like you,
Others that write the same sad truth
And all it takes
All it takes
Is a 'that's real good!'

I'm a Slytherin
Just because I'm a Slytherin
I'm not evil
I'm not Voldemort's heir
And I'm not Bellatrix's daughter
Just because I'm a Slytherin
I don't use Avada Kedavra
I'm not using Crucio
I don't live in Azkaban
And it's not my fault the Ministry fell
Just because I'm a Slytherin
It doesn't mean I own a basilisk
You aren't less prejudiced than me
You aren't as kind as me
Or even as smart as me
Just because I'm a Slytherin
Why should my ambitions matter?
Why do you judge that I'm pureblooded?
What does it matter that I inherited this trait?
Just because I'm a Slytherin

My pen is my sword,
My words my shield.
I am a warrior,
These are the weapons I wield.
The blood I draw is fictional,
And so are the people I slay.
Wars are waged because of me,
I let the bodies fall where they may.
It seems as though I'm invincible,
That I simply can't be slain.
That's because the world is mine,
I bring the sadness, I make the rain.
Everything is under my control,
The people, the places, the things.
Buildings are mine to crumble,
People are puppets and I pull the strings.
To some I am a matchmaker,
I've made many a couples' love live.
But I can easily become a reaper,
And remove the pleasures I give.

As a writer this will be something I will think and carry with me always. Beautifully worded and touched me.
